Virat Kohli reveals his thoughts on seeing message from Novak Djokovic
Virat Kohli has revealed how he felt upon seeing the message of Novak Djokovic on social media. The Indian batter replied after the Serbian spoke about Virat the other day and expressed his wish to meet one day. Ahead of the Australian Open 2024, Djokovic revealed that he and Virat have interacted with each other on Instagram and wished to meet him in future.
Virat was on leave during the first T20I against Afghanistan. Upon returning to the Indian squad for the 2nd T20I, Virat has spoken about the message of Djokovic. The star batter spoke to the Indian cricket board and revealed how the two started communicating with each other on Instagram. The story was narrated by Virat when asked about the same in the interaction.
Virat felt that he was looking to message Novak upon seeing his profile on Instagram. Virat added that he thought of messaging him and saw a message from himself. “I was looking at his profile once on Instagram and happened to press the message button. I thought I’d say hello, and then I saw a message from him already,” said Virat in the interview.

Virat added how he could not believe it was the message from the real account of Novak. He added that the two started talking upon confirming. The star batter said that he regularly congratulates the Serbian for his achievements. “Let me just check if it’s a fake account. It was legitimate, and we got talking. We keep exchanging messages every now and then, and I congratulate him for all his amazing achievements,” added Virat.
The two athletes share a mutual admiration for each other. it is visible by the way the two congratulate each other on Instagram. Virat added how Novak congratulated him after scoring the 50th ODI hundred against New Zealand in the ODI WC 2023. “When I got my 50th century, he put a story and sent me a very nice message as well. There is mutual admiration and respect,” added Virat.
