An Australian fan was seen chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ in the fourth T20I between India and Australia in Raipur. India won the match eventually by 20 runs to claim an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the series, with a game to go in Bengaluru. During the innings, an Australian fan was seen encouraging the Indian fans to chant ‘Jai’ for his slogan of ‘Bharat Mata ki’.
The passion of the Australian fan was liked by the Indian fans in the stadium, who gave chorus to the chants. It was an incredible moment to watch, as being an Australian supporter, the fan won the hearts of India fans by acknowledging and supporting the home side which showed the loyal fanbase of India in Raipur. Despite not having a great day in the office, Australia impressed with their cricket.
The same Australian fan has been seen supporting the team ever since the team landed in India in September for the ODI series. The fan wholeheartedly supported his team in the ODI World Cup 2023. He was seen in many matches of Australia in the tournament against teams like Sri Lanka, South Africa, India, Netherlands, England, and so on. The fan was seen in the final of the tournament.
India clinch the series against Australia
By the end of Australia’s campaign, the fan had become pretty popular among the India fans. The support the fan got from the India fans was insane. In the match between Australia and Sri Lanka in Lucknow, Indian fans reciprocated the slogan and chanted ‘Australia Mata ki jai’ as a mark of respect to the passionate Australian fan.
Meanwhile, India performed very well in the fourth T20I on a sluggish track in Raipur. After being asked to bat first, India posted 174 runs on the board, which seemed a lot on a wicket that was slow. India defended the target successfully, thanks to some brilliant spells from the spinners in the middle. With the win, India extended their series winning streak in T20Is at home.
