On February 6, Karachi Kings skipper Babar Azam took one of the best catches in the history of the Pakistan Super League. Azam is the fifth-highest run-getter in the ongoing PSL with 194 runs in five games. However, his side has been struggling in the tournament as they are the only team not to win a single game.

During the 14th match of the PSL, Islamabad United batter Asif Ali played a shot against Kings left-arm pacer Usman Shinwari on the first ball of the 18th over. Ali tried to play the shot over the cover position where Azam was standing. The right-hander looked like he will get some runs but Azam had different ideas. The Pakistan skipper ran backward and took a one-handed catch to dismiss the hard-hitting batter. He ended up taking three catches in the game.

The 2020 winners have played five games in the ongoing PSL, losing all. They are languishing at bottom of the table with the Net Run-rate of (-1.136). They lost to Islamabad United by 42 runs in the last game. Batting first, the Men in Red and Gold amassed 177/6, thanks to Paul Stirling (39), Alex Hales (30), and skipper Shadab Khan (34). For Kings, Chris Jordan took two wickets while Imad Wasim, Usman Shinwari, Umaid Asif, and Mohammad Nabi took one.

In reply, the Men In Red and Blue’s innings never got going as they lost nine wickets at the score of 110. Although, players like Mohammad Nabi (47*) and Sahibzada Farhan (25) tried to score some runs late in the inning but that was not sufficient. For United, skipper Shadab Khan took four wickets while Waqas Maqsood, Hasan Ali, and Mohammad Wasim took one each.
