Watch: Bus Driver ‘who saved Rishabh Pant’s life’ rewarded in Haryana
At the dawn of December 30, India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant met with a severe accident while traveling from Delhi to Roorkee. According to the police, he barely survived the accident as his car was burned after the accident. After the incident, a truck driver rushed to the spot and rescued Pant. The driver had said that he didn’t know whose life he was saving as he doesn’t watch cricket.
Meanwhile, on one hand, when doctors are doing everything in their might to save Pant’s life, the driver was rewarded for his heroism. In Panipat, Haryana, the truck driver and his accomplice were given a reward. The video of the entire incident was uploaded by the cricketer’s fans club on Twitter. It is going viral on the internet.

Indian Cricket Board issues detailed statement on Rishabh Pant’s injuries
A few hours after the tragedy, the Indian Cricket Board issued a detailed statement on Pant’s injury. The statement explains the injuries and roadmap on his recovery
“India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant met with a car accident early on Friday morning near Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He was admitted to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre where he was treated for impact injuries.
“Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. Rishabh’s condition remains stable, and he has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate his further course of treatment.
“The Indian Cricket Board is in constant touch with Rishabh’s family while the Medical Team is in close contact with the doctors currently treating Rishabh. The Board will see to it that Rishabh receives the best possible medical care and gets all the support he needs to come out of this traumatic phase.”
