The six by Du Plessis also left Glenn Maxwell surprised who witnessed this masterclass from the non-striker’s end. The RCB skipper did show no mercy to the short ball bowled by Bishnoi. A delivery later, Maxwell smashed another six of the over above the bowler’s head as both batters smashed 20 runs off the 15th over.

RCB set a target of 213 for LSG

Batting first, RCB got a firing start as Du Plessis and Virat Kohli added 96 runs for the first wicket in 11.3 overs. Kohli got out after scoring 61 runs off 44 balls with four fours and four sixes. The 34-year-old ended up giving a catch to Marcus Stoinis at deep mid-wicket in the 12th over by Amit Mishra.

After that, Du Plessis put up a century partnership with Maxwell for the second wicket. The South African-Australian pair added 115 runs before Maxwell got bowled out by Mark Wood in the second last ball of the 20th over. The Australian all-rounder got out after smashing 59 runs off 29 balls hitting three fours and six sixes.

While Du Plessis remained unbeaten on 79 runs off 46 balls including five fours and five sixes and RCB posted a total of 212 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. The home team also had a great start in bowling as Mohammed Siraj sent Kyle Mayers back to the pavilion for a duck in the first over of LSG’s innings.

RCB are coming after winning one and losing one game to Mumbai Indian and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively. While LSG played three games before the ongoing match, in which they won two games against Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad and lost one against Chennai Super Kings.
