Sunrisers Eastern Cape owner Kavya Maran got a marriage proposal from a fan during the ongoing inaugural season of the SA20. She is also the owner of the Hyderabad franchise in the Indian T20 League. In India, she has a lot of fans. Now, it seems like she has earned one in South Africa. During the 14th game of the ongoing tournament, a fan made a marriage proposal to her.
The incident happened during the game between the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Paarl Royals. After the eighth over of the SEC’s innings, a fan was caught on camera holding a placard with a marriage proposal written on it. The commentator read out the placard and the video has been going viral.

Talking about the game, the visitors, Sunrisers won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision was proven right as the home side, Paarl was restricted to 127/7. No batter from the PR could cross the 30-run mark. On the other hand, the Orange Army, Brydon Carse, Roelof van der Merve, and Aiden Markram took two wickets each.
In reply, the Aiden Markram-led side chased down the target with ease even though they lost two wickets for 35 runs. Also, they had a mini-collapse when they went from 92/2 to 93/5. However, in the end, the team chased the target in 18.2 overs and with five wickets in hand. With this win, the Eastern Capes have made a hat-trick of wins. On the other hand, the Royals have once again failed to put together two wins on the trot.
Now, the SECs are in the second spot in the points table with three wins in five games. On the other hand, the Pink Brigade, Royals are on fourth with two wins in five games.
