On 6 September 2022, India locked horns with Sri Lanka with the hope to keep itself alive in this year’s Asia Cup. But, the match did not go in favour of India as they lost the match by six wickets. With this loss, India is almost out of contention for getting qualified for the finals. Speaking of the match, India scored 173 runs by losing eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply to that, Sri Lanka managed to pull it off with one ball to go. 

Young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh came to bowl in the last over. In that over, Sri Lanka needed seven runs off six balls. He tried his best to win the game for India. But, he failed to do after controlling Sri Lanka for five balls. However, during that over, Arshdeep Singh was trying to say something to skipper Rohit Sharma regarding field replacements. But, Rohit’s gesture was unacceptable to fans as the video went viral.

Rohit Sharma turned his back on Arshdeep Singh in the last over against Sri Lanka

Speaking of that viral video, Arshdeep Singh was seen suggesting something to Rohit Sharma regarding the existing field placing. But, Rohit Sharma just refused to listen as he turned his back on him. Fans did not like that gesture at all as they showed their anger on their social media platforms.

After missing that easy cath in that high-voltage match against Pakistan, fans trolled a lot to that young pacer of India. But, in both the matches he got the chance to bowl the final overs. Coincidently, in both matches, oppositions were requiring seven runs off six balls. He tried his best but failed by just one ball.

In the last match against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma scored 72 runs off 41 balls. It helped India to score 173 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka pulled off the chase in 119.5 overs with six wickets to spare.
