Indian fans unite to show patriotism during the second T20I between India and South Africa
After losing the first T20I match of the series, India were looking to equalize the series by winning the second match against South Africa in Cuttack. However, the evening did not go as per plan for the men in blue as they got hammered once again. The Temba Bavuma-led side defeated India by 4 wickets. Heinrich Klaasen was the star of the match for his blistering knock of 81 runs off just 46 balls while chasing 149 runs.
After winning 12 consecutive T20I matches. India now lost two back-to-back matches and it put up many questions ahead of their preparation for the mega event in Australia later this year. Meanwhile, the fans in the stadium created a magical moment during this match by singing ‘Vande Mataram” from the stands altogether. The video of that moment went viral and circulated over the social media platforms.
Here is the shared video of that moment on Twitter:

An Indian fan shared the same video on his Twitter account. All fans were seen with their phones flashed on and were capturing this beautiful moment. Indian fans are always known for their endless support of their team. But, as of now, India is failing to put a smile on its face by losing two matches on a trot.
Speaking about the match, South Africa’s captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and asked India to bat first. India managed to put only 148 runs in 20 overs by losing six wickets. Shreyas Iyer (40 runs off 35 balls) and Dinesh Karthik (30* runs off 21 balls) were the main contributors to reaching that total. In reply, India started brilliantly as they picked up three wickets for 29 runs only. But, after getting a place in the playing XI for the injured Quinton de Kock, Heinrich Klaasen played a knock of 81 runs off 46 balls with a strike rate of 176.08. In that tough batting track, this inning was the difference between these two sides. However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a good game as he picked up four wickets for 13 runs in his four overs.
India will look to open their account in this series as they are scheduled to play against the Proteas on 14 June in Visakhapatnam for the third T20I.
