Watch: Frustrated Virat Kohli yells at Bangladesh batter for ‘wasting time’
Former India skipper Virat Kohli is always chirpy on the field, especially in Test cricket. When he was the captain of the team, he used to intimidate the opposition player. Remember the Lord’s Test match last year when he and his side intimidated England on Day five of the game. Meanwhile, in the ongoing game, the right-hander wasn’t unhappy with Najmul Hasan Shanto.
Apparently, the latter was ‘wasting time’ while tying his shoes. The incident happened during the last over of Day two of the second Test between Bangladesh and India. Ahead of the last ball of the day, Shanto was seen delaying the game while trying to tie his shoelaces. Kohli wasn’t happy with the incident. He asked Shanto to remove his T-Shirt too. The video of the incident is doing rounds on the internet.

Notably, this isn’t the first time the left-hander, Shanto delayed the game. When the home side came out to bat in the ongoing second innings, he called in the 12th man to check various bats. However, the opening batter ended up batting with the bat he came out it. At the end of the Day, the Shakib Al Hasan-led side amassed 19/0. On the ongoing third day of the game, the home side lost four wickets before going into a Lunch break.
For India, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohammed Siraj, and Axar Patel took one wicket each. The home is trailed by 16 runs. The KL Rahul-led side would look to restrict Bangladesh for a lower total. They are leading the two-match series by 1-0.
