After a while, the former India skipper was caught behind by Nurul Hasan off Taskin Ahmed. In the ongoing second session of the game, the right-hander poked at a delivery going away from him. He paid the price and got out after scoring only 24 runs. With this, the Delhi player’s wait for his other Test hundred continues. The last time he hit a century was against the same side in late 2019.

On the other hand, Pant has scored another fifty in the red-ball format at the time of writing. He and Shreyas Iyer has built a partnership of 62 runs and counting. The former, being himself, scored at a brisk rate of 96.15 (strike rate). On the other hand, Iyer has scored 29 and counting. Both players will be looking to stitch a long partnership and provide the team with a big lead to keep the hosts out of the game.
