In the opening game of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2024 (PSL), defending champions, Lahore Qalandars and former champions, Islamabad United are locking horns. At the toss, Qalandars and United skippers, Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan were in the center. The latter spun the coin as he was the captain of the visiting team. The Champions Trophy 2017 winner tossed the coin a bit far.

As a result, the match referee had to move towards the direction of the coin. He even asked Khan to confirm whether he won the toss or not. However, the Pakistan leggie said that he trusted the match referee. Meanwhile, after winning the toss, the two-time winners decided to bowl first. On the other hand, Afridi wanted to bat first.
