WATCH: Jey Uso injures Roman Reigns in Summer Slam 2023

A few days after WWE SummerSlam, there was news that got surfaced, that Roman Reigns had met with an injury. The footage emerged from the time he got injured. Jey Uso threw the Tribal Chief out of the ring and Reign went near the barricade. Jey then let fly with a Suicide Dive through the ropes and caught Reigns’ back. The champion could clearly see the cringe on his face as Uso jumped on him.

After watching this video, you can hear Jey shouting to Reigns, but it looked like he didn’t hear him, as he was not able to move out of the way, resulting in sustaining a back injury. In the clip, it is seen Jey’s head goes straight into the spine of Reigns, causing him discomfort straight away.

Although WWE has not yet made any formal statements on the injury, it appears that none of their plans for The Bloodline will be affected. On Friday Night SmackDown, Reigns will make an appearance for a “Hail To The Chief” segment. Following the SummerSlam events, the program will certainly reunite The Bloodline’s broken parts. After this week’s show, Reigns is not anticipated to miss any additional future dates due to the injury.

The Tribal Chief defend his Universal Championship title successfully after performing reall well. In order to defeat Jey, Reigns got help jey’s brother Jimmy Uso. Jimmy made an umexpected attack on his brother which took the reigning champion towards victory. Reigns has been the Universal champion since August 2020. WWE manager, Jimmy Hart recently talked about The Tribal Chiefs performance as the Undisputed Universal Champion.

First of all, he (Roman Reigns) does a great job and Paul (Heyman) fits him so greatly, Paul fits him to a T. I think my character’s a little bit too over-the-top for that because I’m more like, ‘Whoa! Hey baby! How you doing!?’ That’s always been my thing. Up-tempo, never kind of laid back and I just kind of think Roman does such a great job along with Paul together and they really fit good together,” Hart said while speaking on the ‘Two Man Power Trip Podcast.’
