Indian wicketkeeper KS Bharat missed an easy chance to dismiss Travis Head during the ongoing fourth and final Test between India and Australia in Ahmedabad. The Australian opener was batting on 7 runs in the sixth over before Umesh Yadav found the edge of his bat and the ball went straight into the hands of Bharat, but he seemed to struggle to grab the ball and missed a big wicket.

However, Head couldn’t take advantage of this lifeline as he was dismissed by the Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the 16th over. Head tried to take on Ashwin but ended up giving a catch to Ravindra Jadeja. He got out after scoring 32 off 44 balls hitting seven boundaries.

Choosing to bat first, Australia scored 75 runs in the first session for the loss of 2 wickets, with Usman Khawaja and the skipper Steve Smith at the crease. As Head was dismissed by Ashwin, Mohammad cleared the stumps of Marnus Labuschagne in the 23rd over to India the second breakthrough.

Big game for India ahead of Test Championship final

India are already leading in a four-match series by 2-1, but they still need to win the final game at the Narendra Modi stadium in order to confirm their spot in the Test championship final. While Australia have already qualified for the final after a nine-wicket win in the Indore Test. The visitors will now be looking to win the final game and prevent another series loss against India.

If Australia wins or the Test match ends in a draw, then India’s qualification for the Test final will totally depend on the ongoing two-match series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The Lankan Lions need to win both matches against the Kiwis to end India’s chances for the final.

More than 100,000 people have come to witness the India-Australia clash at the Narendra Modi stadium. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present in the stadium along with Australian PM Anthony Albanese. Both the leaders posed for a photo with skippers of both sides. Albanese is on a visit on India from March 8 to 11.
