 Watch: Lionel Messi’s stunner helps PSG to their 10th League Title

Paris Saint-German won their 10th French Ligue 1 title after registering their sixth draw of the season against Lens, who are placed seventh on the points table. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, where PSG’s lone goal was scored by the Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi. He gave his team a 1-0 lead in the match in the 68th minute.

The goal came as a combined effort of the three biggest stars of the club. The French star Kylian Mbappe was dribbling the ball in the left-wing area among a crowd and then passed it to Neymar Jr. The Brazilian star took the ball towards the center and passed it to Lionel Messi who was left unguarded by the opposition defenders. He had enough time to get in position and then take a shot at the left top corner of the goal. The goalkeeper did not get a touch on the ball even after diving full length. The stunner from the seven-time Ballon D’or winner gave his team a lead that they held on to till the 88th minute of the clash.

It was Corentin Jean from Lens’ who scored the equalizer for his team. The match ended with a scoreline of 1-1. With this draw, PSG won the French Ligue 1 title for the 10th time.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino addressed the title victory among the unrest of the fans, saying – “We are going through a difficult period with the fans and we hope it will get better. We’re in a democracy and we accept all protests. But we have to show respect for this title.”

The skipper of the PSG team, Marquinhos also spoke about the poor atmosphere on the ground. He said – “The atmosphere is a shame. Football is our passion. We’ll try to have as much funs as possible. It’s a shame that won’t be with the supporters but we have to deal with it.”
