In the first Test match between Bangladesh and India, Mohammed Siraj and Litton Das got involved in a verbal battle. The former won the battle as he cleaned up Das on the very next delivery. After the incident, the right-arm pacer said that he was just reminding Das that he was playing Test cricket and not a white-ball game. Now, the rivalry resumed in the ongoing second game.

In the second innings of Bangladesh, Siraj once again cleaned up Das with an inswinger. The incident happened in the 66th over of the innings and the home side led by 132 runs. After the wicket, the Hyderabad player made a gesture of a ‘finger on the lips’. Das scored 73 runs for the team. The video of the entire incident is going viral.

Talking about the game, the Shakib Al Hasan-led side started Day Three of the game on 19/0. In the first session, they lost four wickets and lost two more wickets when the lead was small. However, the likes of Zakir Hasan, Das, wicketkeeper batter Nurul Hasan, and Taskin Ahmed played crucial innings to take the team to 231 all-out.

With this, India needs to chase 145 runs to win the two-match series 2-0. However, at the end of the day, KL Rahul’s men lost four wickets and managed 45 runs. On the next day, they need to chase exactly 100 runs to avoid an embarrassing loss to their Asian neighbors. Also, the team wouldn’t want to have a scenario where they would need to clean-sweep Australia in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy next year.

Currently, the 2021 WTC finalists need to win at least four out of the five games (including the current one). They would want to have the luxury of going into the final on their own terms.
