MS Dhoni is the all-time third-most successful wicketkeeper batter in the history of the game. Despite being the most unorthodox wicketkeeper, he still has 829 dismissals across formats. He is only behind Mark Boucher (998) and Adam Gilchrist (905). During his playing career, Dhoni changed a lot of games behind the stumps. Meanwhile, a wicketkeeper batter in Nepal emulated Dhoni-style run-out.

In the ongoing Nepal T20 League, Arjun Saud replicated a Dhoni-style run-out. The former played for Biratnagar Super Kings against Janakpur Royals. In the video uploaded by the broadcaster, Saud ran out the opposition batter after collecting the ball away from the stumps. He then threw the ball under him and remove the bails. The video has been going viral on the internet.

Talking about Dhoni, he retired from international cricket on 15 August 2020. During his international career, he captained the side across formats from 2007 to 2016. In his captaincy tenure, India became the number Test team for the first time in late 2009. Also, the Men In Blue won three different World Championships from 2007 to 2013. Currently, he has been playing in the Indian T20 League for Chennai.

From 2020 to 2022, his team finished second last twice and won the title in 2021. The next year’s Indian T20 League is assumed to be the Ranchi-player’s last as a player. A few months back, the right-hander indicated that the 16th season might be his last and wants to play in front of the Chennai crowd before retiring. Also, it is reported that Dhoni will groom Ben Stokes who was signed by the four-time winners during the Indian T20 League 2023 player auction. The latter was signed for 16.25 crores, a record purchase by the franchise.
