Manjrekar asked: “You are okay to talk to me right?”. Speaking of the video, after the high-voltage match between India and Pakistan, Mayanti Langer was sitting in the studio alongside Manjrekar and former Kiwi cricketer Scott Styris. They were discussing how spinners are not fond of going throughout their overs in the final moments of the match.
Meanwhile, Stris said that even a bowler like Rashid Khan was not so comfortable to bowl in the death overs. In response to that, Sanjay also said that spinners need to complete their overs as early as possible. Hearing that, Langer could not stop herself. She said: “Sanjay, not everyone is Ravindra Jadeja,” with a witty smile. She also mentioned that she had to do it after poking Manjrekar. However, Manjrekar ended that with a blunt reply: “Good One”.
Actually, Sanjay Manjrekar and Ravindra Jadeja shared a long history between them. Sanjay Manjrekar once termed Ravindra Jadeja a “bits and pieces” player. In reply to that, during the 201 World Cup, Jadeja scored a fifty. He celebrated pointing to the former India batter. Speaking of this match, Jadeja scored 35 runs off 29 balls. He also put up a partnership of 52 runs with Hardik Pandya while chasing a target of 148 runs.
