WATCH: Old video of female fan hugging MS Dhoni goes viral on internet

An old video of former Indian captain MS Dhoni has gone viral on the internet, where he was seen being hugged by a female fan. The video probably happened in 2005 or 2006 or somewhere in the period, when the former cricketer was young and had an unreal craze. It was back in time when Dhoni had long hair and became a household name for his style off the field and performance on the field.

In the video, the Chennai Super Kings captain was seen being hugged by a female fan amidst a huge crowd that had gathered to see the Indian team. Dhoni was seen wearing a sleeveless T-shirt. The fan seemed to be highly emotional towards Dhoni. Amidst the crowd of hundreds of people, the female fan overcame all the people and approached Dhoni in a hurry.

The former world champion was seen in surprise upon getting the initial glimpse of the fan who approached him. As she hugged him, the former Indian cricketer acknowledged her support and went away from her towards the team bus with a smile. In the period, Dhoni was making a name for himself by playing some exceptional knocks like his 148 against Pakistan and 83 against Sri Lanka.

MS Dhoni to be back into cricketing planning soon

In the last few months, Dhoni was seen on his farm, in different interviews, interacting with fans, in his stable with pets, celebrating his birthday, on several tours, meeting former cricketers, and other stuff. His videos have often gone viral on the internet. But with the auctions of the IPL 2024 approaching, Dhoni is likely to be back for CSK, to be involved in the auctions of the season.

Dhoni underwent knee surgery after the conclusion of the IPL 2023, where CSK was crowned champions. In the IPL 2024, CSK will be the defending champions. Only a few teams in the past have defended their title successfully. CSK themselves were the first team to do it. The interesting factor would be to see how Dhoni could get fit and perform in the 17th edition of the league.
