For the second in the last month, Pakistan players didn’t wait for their skipper Babar Azam to call for a DRS. The first time it happened was during the Asia Cup 2022. In that tournament, his side was playing their last Super Four game against Sri Lanka. During the game, one of the fielders called for a DRS.

According to the rules, the umpire can only signal for a DRS only after consulting with the captain. However, it is important to note that the rules only apply to the fielding team. Meanwhile, during the Super Four game, the umpire signaled for the DRS without consulting the Pakistan skipper. History almost repeated itself during the sixth T20I between Pakistan and England in Lahore. In the 11th over of England’s inning, Mohammad Nawaz called for a DRS withis his skipper.

Going further into the details, the DRS was taken to ensure Ben Duckett is plumb in front or not. However, the replays confirmed that the ball hit the left-hander outside the off-stump. This meant that the home team lost their first review in the inning. Talking about the game, the Green Brigade had a bad day in the office on September 30.

Batting first, they could only score 169/6. Skipper himself scored an unbeaten 87 while Iftikhar Ahmed scored 31. For the Three Lions, David Willey and Sam Curran took two wickets each. On the other hand, Reece Topley and Richard Gleeson took one each. In reply, the Moeen Ali-led side chased down the total in just 14.3 overs. Phil Salt was the hero for his side with an unbeaten 88 runs. Now, with this result, the series is leveled 3-3. The last game of the series will be played on October 2.
