Former Chennai Super Kings skipper Ravindra Jadeja has produced a magical spell in the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals. After winning the toss, the home team, Super Kings decided to bowl first. Tushar Deshpande responded with a wicket of in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second over. However, the likes of Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal were going well and put together 77 runs in 7.1 overs.

The partnership was broken by Jadeja with Padikkal getting caught at deep square leg in the ninth over of the innings. Royals skipper Sanju Samson came and faced a dot ball first up. On the very next ball, he lost his stumps as Jadeja managed to get a sharp turn from the line of stumps. The white Kookaburra turned sharply to dislodge the off-stump of Samson and sent him packing on silver duck.

Ravindra Jadeja was the stand-out bowler for Chennai Super Kings

Meanwhile, talking about the game, those two wickets of Jadeja slowed down the scoring rate for the next few overs. At one stage, Ravichandran Ashwin, who was promoted in the batting order struggled with the willow. Before hitting two back-to-back sixes against Akash Singh in the 15th over, Ashwin had scored 17 off 18 balls including a four.

In the end, the former CSK player got 30 off 22 balls before getting out to Singh. On the other hand, Buttler, who started well with 34 off 17 balls slowed down a bit to take the innings forward. He ended up getting a fifty in 34 balls. He got out to his England teammate Moeen Ali after scoring 52 off 36 balls including one four and three sixes. At the time of writing, Shimron Hetmyer ended up getting 30 off 19 balls and the team ended up getting 175/8 at the end of the innings.

Talking about Jadeja, his bowling spell reads four overs, 21 runs, and two wickets. He would get the wicket of Ashwin if not for Moeen Ali dropping a sitter at slips.
