The India-Pakistan game brings a different feeling to the players and the fans from both countries. The fans want their team to win at any cost while the players give it everything to win against each other. Meanwhile, ahead of the ongoing game, India skipper Rohit Sharma got emotional right after the national anthem. In a video that is going viral, the Mumbaikar almost had tears in his eyes.

The Indian fans might be able to relate to it, especially during the game against Pakistan. Also, not to forget, the fans would want the Men In Blue to take revenge for last year’s loss against the Babar Azam-led side. For the unversed, India lost the 20-20 World Cup 2021 game against Pakistan by 10 wickets.

Talking about the ongoing game, Sharma won the coin toss and elected to bowl first. The 2007 winners had a great start as Arshdeep Singh took out the in-form opening pair of skipper, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan. The former was trapped lbw in the second over of the innings. Notably, it was a golden duck for Azam in the all-important game. On the other hand, Rizwan was undone by a brilliant bouncer and was caught at deep fine leg.

On 15/2, the team was in grave trouble as their middle order has been under severe criticism in the recent past. However, the likes of Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed stitched a partnership of 76 runs for the third wicket. The latter scored a brilliant 51 off 34 balls before being trapped lbw by Mohammed Shami in the 13th over. After this, Hardik Pandya has taken three wickets in the space of two overs.

At the time of writing, the 2009 winners have scored 116/6 and have lost the wicket of Mohammad Nawaz. At the moment, Men In Blue are on top of its Asian rivals and would look to restrict them on a low total.
