India has been phenomenal with the bowl in the series decider against Australia as they clinched some early wickets to restrict the hosts to 269 runs. Star allrounder Hardik Pandya clinched three wickets in just a span of 15 bowls and trashed the Australian top order. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav also shined with the ball as he clinched three wickets including David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, and Alex Carey. However, his hunger for wickets also led India to lose a review and instigated Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to lose their temper.

In the 39th over of the Australian innings, Kuldeep dismissed well-set Carey for 38 runs. On the last ball of the same over Kuldeep trapped Aston Agar in front of the wickets and made a huge appeal for leg before. He was very convinced and forced Rohit to take a DRS call, who was not sure about it. However, India lost the review as the impact was outside of the. This led Rohit and Kohli to lose their calm as they slammed Kuldeep for a poor decision.

This was not the first time when Rohit and Kohli were shocked by Kuldeep’s decisions over DRS. Earlier in the game when Alex Carey walked into bat after Kuldeep dismissed Warner, a ball struck Carey’s pads. India made a huge appeal but Kuldeep didn’t bother to send this upstairs. Meanwhile, Rohit along with Kohli, and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan tried to convince Kuldeep Yadav to support but they didn’t receive any. Although, the replay showed that it was a close call and this led Rohit to be furious over the left-arm spinner.

India needs to win the game to continue the winning streak

As India bundled up visitors for 269 runs in 49 overs, they will look to chase the total to win the series by the margin of 2-1. India has not lost a series in the last few years on their home soil. However, to do so India will expect their batters to show some skin and counter Mitchell Starc-led Australian pace battery.
