WATCH: Rohit Sharma’s unique reaction in dressing during Day 4 of India vs West Indies second Test match
On day five of the second and final Test match at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, in Trinidad, West Indies needed 289 rubs in order to level the series, on the other hand, India needed eight wickets to clean sweep the series, but the match didn’t take place on the last day and the day was called off without being a single ball bowled.
Because of rain the last match of the series ended in a draw, and India clinched the two-match Test series 1-0 against the Windies. Star India bowler, Mohammad Siraj was awarded the Player of the Match for his brilliant spell in the first innings where he snapped five wickets in his spell of 23.4 overs where he conceded 60 runs and bowled six maiden overs.
Happy with the way things went: Rohit Sharma
As the rain interrupted day four and day five’s game, the fans got frustrated and diverted their mind towards social media and got themselves engaged in a meme fest on Men in Blue skipper, Rohit Sharma went viral on social media during day four. The incident took place before the start of the 19th over when Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan were batting.
The 35-year-old wanted to have a peek and so he pushed his head through the window. When he did so his weird-looking expression was caught on camera.

“There wasn’t much on the surface. No play today, unfortunate for us. Siraj, I have been watching him closely. He’s taken such a giant step. He has led this attack. I don’t want anyone to lead the attack. I want everyone to lead when they are having the ball in their hand. You need guys like Ishan (Kishan),” Rohit was quoted as saying in the post-match presentation.
“Every win is different. Playing in WI has its own challenge. Happy with the way things went. We gave it a good shot, unfortunately we couldn’t get any play today. We actually went out with a positive intent yesterday. Rain had its final say. We were quite confident. You know how difficult it is batting last. We always wanted that kind of score where we wanted the opposition to go for it,” the right-hand batter asserted.
