The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final game was postponed on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad due to persistent rain, and play will be resumed on reserve day. Numerous spectators hoped to see MS Dhoni win the IPL title with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the fifth time in his career, but they were forced to leave empty-handed for the night.

Before the start of the big final, a team of skilled artists known as the Telugu Experiments Team created the largest thread art for MS Dhoni. A video of their work of art that shows it being lifted up for exhibition by a JCB has gone viral. Naturally, the video has generated a lot of online attention.

Possible scenarios for IPL 2023 if rain spoils the party

“Let me end the confusion. There is a reserve day tomorrow. Unlike last year, a reserve day is not guaranteed only when a match starts, and the result isn’t determined on the day. This year, if the final cannot be completed or doesn’t take place at all on Sunday (May 28), we will have the contest on Monday,” a source commented as rain interrupted play on Sunday.

The rule also holds true for the Reserve Day when taking into account the Super Over. The outfield and pitch must be ready for a Super Over by 1.20 AM IST at the latest. The team that finished better in the points table after 70 league games will get the trophy if Reserve Day is also postponed due to bad weather. Gujarat Titans are going to win in this match against CSK, who came in first and second place in the league phase, respectively.

The rain also caused a little delay in Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2023 onon Friday. The five-time champion Mumbai Indians were defeated by Hardik Pandya-led GT by 62 runs, and fans at the Narendra Modi Stadium were able to see the full match as they advanced to their second straight final.
