Former India skipper Virat Kohli was on a break right after the England tour, which took place last month. He was rested for the ongoing white-ball series against the West Indies. Kohli was reported to be available for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. However, the right-hander was rested for the series and will now make his comeback in the Asia Cup later this month.
Meanwhile, he was spotted at the Mumbai airport. Apparently, after the series against the Three Lions, he and his wife Anushka decided to stay back in the UK. The duo was on a holiday in European nations such as the United Kingdom, Spain, and France and has returned to India. They were clicked by Pinkvilla photographers after landing at the Mumbai airport.

The 2008 U19 World Cup-winning skipper is expected to start his practice as soon as possible. After all, he will be playing in the Asia Cup 2022 starting on August 27 in the United Arab Emirates. The 33-year-old will be looking to get back to his form during the tournament. From Indian T20 League 2022 to the England tour, the Delhi player could only score three fifties.
During the England series, he couldn’t cross the 30-run mark even once. Besides, in the last couple of years, he hasn’t been able to score a hundred across formats. Moreover, he won’t get too many chances during the tournament as it will be played in the T20I format. Thus, he would be looking to get some match-winning scores under his belt. Him coming back to form might solve a lot of problems for the team as the team would like him to do well in the 20-20 World Cup later this year.
After the Asia Cup, the Men In Blue will play two bilateral series against Australia and South Africa at home. Thus, Virat will be expected to play in these series.
