Watch: Virat Kohli gets hit during nets session ahead of semifinal against England in 20-20 World Cup 2022

Only a day is left in India’s semifinal game against England in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022. Both teams are gearing up and leaving no stone unturned. The winner of this game will be joining the winner of the ongoing semifinal between New Zealand and Pakistan. Meanwhile, ahead of the IND-ENG game, former India skipper Virat Kohli got hit in the nets.
Apparently, he was batting in the nets and facing Harshal Patel, who is yet to play a game. In the midst of this, he got hit while facing one of the deliveries from Patel. Currently, there is no update on the intensity of the injury. In the meantime, the India fans will be hoping for him to be ok. After all, he has been the highest run-getter in the tournament with 246 runs in five games.

Meanwhile, recently former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik praised Kohli. The former said that the players must learn from the former India skipper on how he plays the entire game with full intensity irrespective of the format. Malik added that Kohli is a team man whether he scores or not.
“This is something we’ve got to learn from Virat Kohli. Here in Pakistan, if you’ve scored runs, then people roam around with their collars up. There’s no harm in doing that but always be a team man whether you have scored runs or not. His quality is that he plays the entire 40 overs with the same intensity. You will always see Kohli trying to help out the team in the field. It doesn’t matter whether he has scored a hundred or has been dismissed for a zero.”
Talking about India vs England in the World Cups, things are even stevens between the two teams. They played against each other in the 1983 and 1987 World Cups semifinals. The first one was won by India while the next one was won by England.
