Speaking about the match, India went with Mohammed Siraj in place of Jasprit Bumrah. Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field first. Now, while batting first, England opener Jason Roy started brilliantly by smashing Shami for three boundaries in the first over of the match.

Before the next over, Virat had a chat with Siraj and he bowled some peachers before getting the wicket of Jonny Bairstow in the third ball. Then, again, Kohli was seen to go to Siraj as he had a talk with him. Then, Siraj took the wicket of Joe Root in the last ball of the over.

Speaking about the match, all England batters chipped in with some runs as they scored 259 runs in 45.5 overs. They did not bat throughout the 50-over quota.
