‘What a comeback Bhuvi’ – Fans react as Bhuvneshwar Kumar takes 8-wickets haul in Ranji Trophy
After six years, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, India’s medium-pacer has made his Ranji Trophy comeback. Previously, he played FC in 2018. After his return, Kumar shook the Internet with his 8-wicket haul in the first innings of the ongoing Ranji match between Uttar Pradesh and Bengal. He bowled extremely well with an economy of 1.86. His comeback in red-ball cricket which has turned out to be lucky for him. This performance has brought hope among fans for Bhuvi’s comeback in the Indian team. With Bhuvnesh’s bowling miracle, Uttar Pradesh bowled out Bengal for 188.
By the second day, UP scored 46 without losing any wickets. They still have two more days to turn the game in their favour. After Bhuvi’s attack, Bengal seemed disturbed and lost track. Even after scoring just 60 runs in the first over, UP still has a chance to win the match if they manage to put up a good score. After the target is set, the bowlers will have to do the job of restricting Bengal within the target.
If UP wins the match, it will count as one of the greatest comebacks in Ranji history. Additionally, the audience is thrilled to watch the match as their favourite bowler is proving his worth after a long wait.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar shines in Syed Mustak Ali trophy
It is a comeback season for Bhuveshwar Kumar. Before the Ranji season began, Bhuvi was a part of the Syed Mustak Ali team. He was playing for Uttar Pradesh. However, this is not the main topic. Bhuvi had an outstanding Syed Mustak Ali tournament as he took 16 wickets in seven matches. He bowled at an economy of 5.67. Moreover, he also took a five-wicket haul in the tournament.
Overall, the 33-year-old is having a great time in cricket after his return. The fans are hoping to see him make a comeback in the Indian team, however, the presence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami makes it quite difficult for him. Nonetheless, if he continues to work hard, the situation might turn in his favour.
