“Why Is He Not Removed From The Panel?” – Fans Fume After Virender Sehwag Mocks James Anderson By Calling Him “Bujurg”
The Indian Team is currently busy playing the fifth rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Speaking about the match, England is only 119 runs behind while India is seven wickets away from victory after the end of day four. India’s regular skipper, Rohit Sharma missed the match as he tested Covid-19 positive. Hence, Jasprit Bumrah led the Team in his absence.
However, India was asked to bat as England won the toss. India fought well as they scored 416 runs in the first innings. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja scored two centuries and stitched a solid partnership of 222 runs on day one. In reply, England got bundled out for 284 runs in their first innings. Jonny Bairstow was their only star as he scored another century in his career.
But, India failed to capitalize on the lead as they only managed to score 245 runs in the second innings. Hence, they set up a target of 378 runs for England. But, on day four, while India was batting, former Indian player Virender Sehwag mocked the veteran English pacer James Anderson as he failed to grab a catch off Ravindra Jadeja.
Speaking about the incident, it was the 70th over of India’s second innings when Matthew Potts was bowling to Ravindra Jadeja. It was the fifth ball of the over on which Jadeja got a leading edge and it went towards Anderson. But, he missed it and Jadeja survived. It was not the first time that he used some absurd words for some players as he did the same on day three when he called Virat Kohli a “Chamiya” for his celebration after sam Billing’s wicket. Fans showed their anger through their social media platforms then and now, they have again come up to show support for James Anderson. Fans have requested to remove Virender Sehwag from the commentary panel. The video of his commentary got viral and it got circulated quickly over the Internet.

Here is how fans have reacted to that incident on Twitter:
This is too much from @virendersehwag
He just thinks he can speak anything while commentating
Yesterday Virat and today Anderson
And I don't know why is he not removed from the panel?@SonySportsNetwk #Sehwag https://t.co/Ql3dfnNEtP

Reason why dhoni got rid of seniors was their fielding at age of 35+, including you, Mr. Sehwag. That guy Anderson litetally puts his everything in the field at age of almost 40.

This sehwag also said "bujurg anderson" in the commentary when Jimmy dropped a catch, jyada nahi horaha iska kuch?

I don’t think people realise that for @virendersehwag , @imVkohli and @jimmy9 are peers/friends, not legends.
Sehwag doesn’t realise that for people, Kohli and Anderson are legends, not peers.
The dissonance is too funny to watch. https://t.co/tMdKQ25atJ

Imagine if Anderson was young and Sehwag would have said- " Koshish bhadiya ki yahan young Anderson ne" ! Then would it have been an issue for you?
