‘Won’t watch cricket till Sanju Samson plays regularly’ – Fans unhappy with India Cricket team as Sanju Samson dropped for second ODI against New Zealand

Sanju Samson has once again become the victim of constant experimentation in the Indian team. Ahead of the ongoing second ODI against New Zealand, the right-hander was replaced by Deepak Hooda. Samson did decently with the bat in the first ODI which the team lost badly. The Keralite has been getting enough opportunities in the ongoing series. He did get to play a single game in the T20I series.
In the ongoing ODI series, the wicketkeeper batter played the first game and was expected to get a full series. However, once again, the pattern of him not getting enough has continued. This has been going on since his international debut in 2015. In T20Is, he has played only 16 games in the last seven years. He made his debut in 2021 and has played 11 games only.
Meanwhile, the fans have been angry and have been venting out their frustration as we speak.

The ongoing game is impacted heavily by rain
Talking about the game, the Kiwis won the toss and once again put the visitors in. The likes of stand-in skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill amassed 22 runs in 4.5 overs before the rain interrupted the game. Ever since it has been pelting down even though it stopped for a bit. However, the rain returned after a while. According to the official update, the groudsmen are waiting for the weather to clear out.
It is drizzling at the moment and looks like it will be a T20 game albeit with the ODI rules. Currently, the players have changed to their tracksuits and catching up with no play at the moment.
