WPL 2024 auction: Purse Remaining, Available Slots, Retained, Released Players List, Livestreaming Details, and All You Need To Know
The Indian cricket board is all set to welcome the second season of Women’s Premier League (WPL). They are preparing to host the auction of the WPL 2024 on 9 December in Mumbai. The live coverage of WPL 2024 auction will begin at 2:30 PM IST exclusively on the Sports 18 Network. The next season of the WPL is expected to be held around February-March before the commencement of IPL 2024. The first season of the WPL was won by Mumbai Indians while defeating Delhi Capitals in the final match.

Approximately 165 women players are expected to go under the hammer which includes 104 India players and 61 overseas players, out of which 15 players belong to associate cricketing nations. Out of the 165 women players, only 56 players are capped and representing their respective countries internationally while all the other 109 remaining players are uncapped.
WPL 2024 comprises 5 teams, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, UP Warriorz, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. Every team franchise can build a squad of 18 players, including 6 overseas players and a minimum of 15 players, including 5 overseas players.
