WWE: 5 Character gimmicks that were stretched beyond their welcome
Jon Moxley
When the turmoil started, it was a poorly-kept secret that Jon Moxley was prepared for a literal vacation following a lengthy tenure as the AEW leader. Dramatic events occurred; Moxley carried the business when he was meant to be absent and later lost the position. And he didn’t stop working. Moxley served as a fantastic workhorse for both AEW and WWE. Moxley’s persona and approach have grown old at this time, despite continuing to put on fantastic matches. He bleeds in every game and is a well-known meme for a good reason. A quick break will improve things and give them a new lease on life.
