‘Ye achi khabar hai ya buri’ – Fans react as KL Rahul reportedly completely fit and available for selection
Star India batter, KL Rahul is set to return to the national team after regaining full fitness ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to take place later this year, in the month of October and November in India. Earlier, team India’s two bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah & Prasidh Krisha have also regained fitness and they will be seen playing in the upcoming T20I series against Ireland.
Rahul was ruled out of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League after suffering a thigh injury. According to the reports of the Times of India, the star India batter is now “completely fit and available for selection” and he can also make a comeback to the national team ahead of the two major tournaments which are planned in the next few months.
The ODI World Cup 2023 to start from October 5
The 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will be played in Sri Lanka and Pakistan from August 30 to September 17. The Men in Blue will take on their arch-rivals, Pakistan in their opening fixture of the tournament at Pallekele on September 2. If the star India batter makes his way back to the team, then it would add balance to the Indian Cricket Team as he can bat in the middle-order and can keep wickets too.
In the last few days, the Lucknow Super Giants skipper has been sharing updates regarding his fitness on his social media account, where he is seen practicing. “The coaches and medical experts at the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bangalore are satisfied with Rahul’s progress/recovery. He will be available for selection for the selection,” an official source was quoted as saying.
The first match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finalists from the last edition, England and New Zealand will lock horns against each other on October 5. The venues for the knockout games and semi-final have been announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

KL should be played at no.5
Man has magnificent stats at no.5 and it also brings stability in middle order.

Happy for him but selectors should let him gain form in domestic cricket, before selection.
