In the ongoing Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are going to play the final. Both the teams won two matches in the ‘Super Four’. On the other hand, India and Afghanistan got ruled out of the tournament. Speaking of Pakistan’s form, they lost the first group match against India. But, they won against Hong Kong and qualified for the ‘Super Four’.

But, in the next round, they won both the matches against India and Afghanistan. Hence, with one more match to go, they sealed their place in the final. Against Afghanistan, they were in a spot of trouble. But, they held their nerves and managed to win the game. But, the main worry for the team has been the skipper Babar Azam’s form.

Babar Azam has scored 33 runs in four matches compared to Virat Kohli’s 154 runs so far in Asia Cup 2022

Speaking about his form, Babar Azam started the tournament as the number one ranked batter in this shortest format of the game. But, in all four matches so far, he has managed to score only 33 runs, at an average of 8.25. Even, in the last match against Afghanistan, he scored a golden duck only. Mohammad Rizwan’s form has been exceptional for Pakistan. Hence, after these four matches, Babar Azam lost his number one spot to his teammate, Rizwan.

Fans have been in shock seeing this poor run of form from Babar. In recent years, he has been in great form across all three formats for his country. But, some fans have started to troll him by comparing him to former India skipper, Virat Kohli. Before the first match against India, Babar Azam met with Kohli and both shook hands. So, fans have trolled him by saying that Kohli transferred all of his bad forms into him. Since 2019, Kohli has failed to score at his level best for India. But, in this tournament, he looked in good form. In four matches, he has scored 154 runs, at an average of 51.33.
