‘Yeh Darr Acha Laga’: Fans react to Rajasthan’s unique strategy to stop Dinesh Karthik

Bangalore will be facing Rajasthan in the 39th match of the Indian T20 League at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Rajasthan is at number three in the points table while Bangalore is at number five. This will be an important match for both the teams as they will look to win the match and climb up the table.
While Rajasthan’s batting is looking on song with Jos Buttler in a great form, the biggest obstacle between them and winning will be an in-form Dinesh Karthik. Karthik has been in great form scoring 210 runs in the tournament at a strike rate of 200. Notably, in the previous encounter between the two teams, he stole a win from Rajasthan’s grasp scoring 44 runs off 23 deliveries.
Karthik’s tremendous form and his latest exploits against them prompted the admin of Rajasthan’s Twitter account to make a funny post. The post was of a satellite image suggesting to DK that there is a lot of traffic from Mumbai to Pune and he takes the other route to reach the stadium.

The post went viral very soon and fans started reacting to it. While some supporters of the Bangalore team commented that they liked the fear within the opposition about Dinesh Karthik, some suggested the longer route for Rajasthan’s in-form batter, Jos Buttler.

Speaking of the encounter, this will be the second time the two teams face each other in this edition. In the previous clash, Rajasthan batted first and put up a total of 169 runs on the board. The men in pink did a decent job with the ball and looked in control during Bangalore’s chase when Dinesh Karthik walked in and completely changed the complexion of the game. He played a dashing knock of 44 runs off 23 deliveries to take his team home and won the Player of the Match award. It will be interesting to see how the two teams battle it out I their second meeting of the tournament.
