On 8 September 2022, India took on Afghanistan for their last match in this year’s Asia Cup. Before the match, both these teams got ruled out of the tournament. Sri Lanka and Pakistan qualified for the final of Asia Cup 2022. Hence, India and Afghanistan were looking to finish the tournament with a win.

However, India managed to win the match by 101 runs. Virat Kohli scored his 71st international century after three years. He won the player of the match award also. But, after the match, skipper Rohit Sharma interviewed the former Indian skipper. The Indian Cricket Board shared the same video on Twitter.

Speaking of the match, both the batters got involved in a funny conversation while sitting inside the stadium. Virat Kohli found it funny as Rohit Sharma started the conversation in the Hindi language. However, during the interaction, they talked about the fantastic knock Kohli played against Afghanistan.

Kohli also shared the dressing room atmosphere and the way, it helped him to be settled after making a comeback from the break. Virat Kohli also said that in recent times, he has changed something in his batting. Now, he is feeling better and more confident while batting in the crease. The former Indian skipper also said that he has believe in this group to do much better in the coming series and the 20-20 World Cup.

Rohit also said about the importance of Kohli’s form ahead of the 20-20 World Cup. Finally, they ended by saying that India will look to be ready for the 20-20 World Cup later this year in Australia. Speaking of the match, India scored 212 runs by losing two wickets in 20 overs. Virat remained not out on 122 runs off 61 balls. He hit 12 fours and six over-boundaries throughout his innings. But, in reply, Afghanistan scored only 111 runs in 20 overs by losing eight wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also grabbed five wickets by conceding four runs in four overs.
