Indian T20 League 2022 is witnessing a contest between Hyderabad and Lucknow in the 12th match. Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson followed the trend of the tournament and decided to field first.
Hyderabad gave a rude shock to the Lucknow batting line up dismissing three of their wickets within the 5th over of the innings. Deepak Hooda came out to bat at this stage. He had the skipper of the team KL Rahul as his partner, who was looking in good touch. Deepak Hooda has been in good form in the tournament. He already had a half-century to his name in the opening match of Lucknow against Gujarat.
Hooda is continuing his great batting form and making the most of it. At 27 for 3 when his team was struggling against Hyderabad, Hooda decided to play a daring and counter attacking brand of cricket. He showed great composure and skills during his stay at the crease. He particularly made the best of the inexperience of young Umran Malik and played the bowler with particular aggressive intent. Smashing 3 sixes and 3 fours in his knock of 51 runs off 33 deliveries, he bought the Lucknow innings back on track and provided them the much-needed momentum. He was dismissed in the 16th over of the innings by Romario Shepherd.
The fans were elated to see Hooda’s composure and positive intent in the crease. The consistency he is showing this season also earned him a lot of praise. The Indian T20 League 2022 seems to be the season where Deepak Hooda justifies his much talked about potential
