India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have been married to each other for close to three years. They got married during the Indian winters of 2020-21. At the time, COVID-19 was at its peak and no vaccination had been invented. Meanwhile, over the years, despite some fans making allegations of an illicit affair between Varma and Shreyas Iyer, the Chahal-Verma couple continues to go strong.

On September 15, the choreographer and dentist by profession, Verma posted a few pictures of herself wearing L London Maxi Dress. While this post attracted a lot of comments from her fans, a comment from Yuzi caught eyeballs. He posted “My Taj Mahal.” This comment has attracted a lot of replies from fans, memers, and people who do humor as a hobby.

Yuzvendra Chahal missed out on the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup squads

Notably, the Jind-born leg-spinner was excluded from the Asia Cup 2023 squad and continues to face the same ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023. Even though the team has done well in the continental tournament, his exclusion was a shocker.

Ajit Agarkar said after announcing the Asia Cup squad, “He’s been a terrific performer for India, but sometimes, it’s just the balance of the team or the combination. You are looking at guys. Axar Patel has done really well.”

He further added, “He can bat as well. Kuldeep’s obviously had a fantastic run. To fit two wrist-spinners might be difficult. You can also fit 15, at this point 17, we are a little bit fortunate we can take a couple of extra guys. Otherwise, to fit two wrist-spinners.”

Chahal is also not named in the ODI World Cup preliminary squad. While the final squad will be announced on September 28, it is highly unlikely that he will be included. After all, the team management and selectors want to avoid the situation of a long tail. This hurt them during the 2019 semis against New Zealand.
