1. Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer has been one of the best Indian players since 2019. The middle order batter helped the India team in the ODIs by establishing himself as a number 4 batter. In the shortest international format, Iyer has not been that consistent and has lately been out of contention given his injuries. But Iyer made a fabulous comeback in the India side with a fantastic tournament as a batter in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023, where he was one of the best middle order batters.
Iyer got his Test his Test debut in 2021 against New Zealand. Since then, he has been one of the best test batters for India, particularly in the home conditions, where the pitches have been difficult to bat on. With his aggressive nature, Iyer has played many game changing innings, that have often helped India to recover from difficult situations. In fact, Iyer scored a hundred on his Test debut. Against South Africa, Iyer has been picked in all the three formats. It is to be seen in which formats he would be in the playing XI.
