Meanwhile, former cricketers around the globe expressed their concern regarding the increasing dominance of the Indian T20 League.

In recent times, several reports are there where it has been found that the introduction of these new leagues will cause many issues in the existing cricket fraternity. Players might become more financially stable. But, many reasons are there which can affect the overall quality of cricket adversely.

This is one of the major disadvantages for the Indian T20 League franchises. Despite buying teams in overseas leagues, contracted Indian players can not play. As per the policy of the Indian Cricket Board, any player can join any foreign league only after cutting off all ties with the Board.

The Chennai franchise of the Indian T20 League confirmed its team in the new CSA T20 League. Several reports were there that they will look to add MS Dhoni as a mentor in that new league. But, now, an Indian Cricket Board official dismissed that chance totally. He said that Dhoni can join that league only if he retires from playing in the Indian T20 League.
