Ruturaj Gaikwad was a huge name last year when he became the highest run-scorer in the Indian T20 League. But, this year he had a decent season for his Chennai franchise as he scored 368 runs in 14 matches at an average of 26.28.
He did not have a good series against South Africa also as he scored only 96 runs in five matches while opening the innings. Still, he has another chance in this series to showcase his full potential. But, in his position, India will bank on the experienced top-order players for the World Cup.
