Every Indian was proud when this javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra became the first Asian athlete to win a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the men’s javelin throw. In 2022, he won a gold medal at the Kuortane Games. He even came in the second spot at the Stockholm Diamond League after creating a National record with a throw of a massive 89.94 meters in his first attempt.
On 22 July 2022, Neeraj Chopra bagged another milestone in his career as he entered the World Athletics Championships Finals. Depending on his form since the conclusion of the last edition of the Olympic Games, Chopra is the most favourite candidate to bring glory to India in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
