Now, they will face Afghanistan on 8 September 2022. But, they have a very slim chance of getting qualified for the final. Hence, the Indian selectors might look for some players ahead of the next series and the 20-20 World Cup.

Mohammed Shami
Before this year’s Asia Cup, India confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will not play in the tournament due to his back injury. Then, fans were expecting that selectors might include Mohammed Shami in the squad. But, selectors showed nothing such intention as they went with only experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
But, Indian bowlers have failed miserably in the tournament so far. Hence, ahead of the 20-20 World Cup, India can look for Shami again. Even, former player Madan Lal said that Shami should get a chance in the World Cup. He also said that Shami is the second-best bowler available after Bumrah.
