Throughout Samson’s career, it has been observed that he is a good player of pacers. It does not mean that he finds difficulties facing spinners. In 2022, he managed to maintain good strike rates while facing both the pace and spin bowlers.
Against spin, he managed to maintain a strike rate of 152.60 in 21 innings. On the other hand, against pace, he managed to maintain a strike rate of 145.22 in 23 innings. Therefore, selectors should have picked him for playing in the 20-20 World Cup in Australia.
