Indian T20 League 2022: Top 10 Memes from Gujarat vs Delhi match

One of the Indian T20 League 2022 debutants, Gujarat took on Delhi in the 10th match of the season. The match was hosted by the MCA Stadium, Pune. The encounter did not turn to be as close as it was expected to be.
Delhi won the toss and followed the trend of the season, and decided to field first. Delhi started well picking up Matthew Wade in the very first over of the match. They soon sent Vijay Shankar (13 off 20) back to the pavilion and Gujarat was 44 for 2 down in the 7th over. Skipper Hardik Pandya joined Shubman Gill and the duo steadied the Gujarat ship. Pandya and Gill put together a partnership of 65 runs before Hardik (31 off 27) was dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed. Shubman Gill continued with his knock and scored 84 runs off 46 deliveries before falling to Ahmed. With the help of some lower-order cameos, Gujarat reached a total of 171 runs in their 20 overs.
Delhi began their chase in the worst way possible. They lost their top 3 within the 5th over and were reduced to 34 for the loss of 3 wickets. Rishabh Pant and Lalit Yadav steadied the ship for Delhi from that position. They put together a 61 runs partnership before Lalit was run out after scoring 25 runs off 22 deliveries. It looked like Rishabh Pant will stay there and take his team to victory. But that did not happen as Lockie Ferguson got the prized scalp of Pant (43 off 29) in the 15th over. After this the match depended on Rovman Powell. But it turned out that it was not his day. He was dismissed by Shami for 20 from 12 deliveries in the 18th over and with it Delhi’s hopes ended. Delhi’s final score read 157 for 9 in their 20 overs. Gujarat has began their campaign with wins in the first two games.
