 COVID strikes Indian T20 League: Commentator tests positive

Cricket commentator and analyst Aakash Chopra has tested positive for COVID-19. He is a part of the Indian T20 League 2022 official broadcaster’s commentary panel. He is famous for his unique style of commentary and the nicknames he gives to cricketers.

Aakash, too to his official Twitter handle to reveal the development. His Tweet read – “After dodging the bullet for nearly two years… I have also succumbed to the C Virus. Yups. Symptoms are mild thus far… should be back on the saddle soon.”

Notably, he has been handling the commentary duties for the Star Sports network in the Hindi language in the Indian T20 League 2022. As soon as the former Indian cricketer shared the news fans expressed concern and wished for his speedy recovery. His colleague Harsha Bhogle also expressed his concerns and advised him to take care.

His passion for the game of cricket is evident from the fact that he is constantly following the live-action even though he is down with COVID. He keeps tweeting his viewpoints constantly.

“Five-time champions. Four-time champions. Both started the #ITL 2022 with two consecutive losses. That’s why it’s imperative to view this season in isolation…. with the past laurels counting for precious little. Big auctions can do that…. often do that” – Aakash tweeted after Mumbai lost to Rajasthan.

He assured his fans that the symptoms still now are mild and he will be back behind the microphone soon.
