‘Kese najre mila payenge’ – Aakash Chopra and Venkatesh Prasad appointed commentators for Women’s T20 League

The inaugural season of the inaugural Women’s T20 League is all set begin from March 4 with an opening match between Mumbai and Gujarat at the DY Patil stadium in Mumbai. With less than one day remaining for the big day, Jio Cinema has announced the commentary panel for the upcoming tournament.

With so many former cricketers and famous commentators on the list, the two names which caught the attention of the fans were Aakash Chopra and Venkatesh Prasad. Both Chopra and Prasad were recently engaged in a Twitter war after the Delhi Test between India and Australia. The topic for the debate was the form of Indian batter KL Rahul. Both the former cricketers had different views about the 31-year-old.

Chopra also asked Prasad to have a chat with him on his Youtube channel and talk about it and share their opinions properly. He also said that he will not make any money from that video. However, Venkatesh refused Chopra’s offer stating that he called him an agenda peddler because it didn’t suit his narrative. However, Rahul was dropped from the third Test due to poor form and Shubman Gill replaced him in Indore. Rahul also lost his vice-captaincy as Hardik Pandya got selected as Rohit Sharma’s deputy for the upcoming ODI series against Australia.

Following this battle, now both the former cricketers are a part of the commentary panel for the upcoming tournament, and the fans are excited to see them in the same commentary room. The other commentators on the list are Anjum Chopra, Punam Raut, Reema Malhotra, Veda Krishnamurthy, Natalie Germanos, Kate Cross, Mel Jones, Zaheer Khan, and Parthiv Patel.

Before the match between Mumbai and Gujarat, there will be an opening ceremony. Celebrities like Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, and AP Dhillon are all set to perform in a big event.
