Suresh Raina drops huge hint about MS Dhoni’s availability for 2024 Indian T20 League
Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni will be back in cricketing action in the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. The 41-year-old has already started his practice ahead of the tournament as many videos of him batting in the nets have been going viral all over social media. It is also expected to be the last outing of the Chennai skipper in yellow colours and may not be seen in the Indian T20 League in 2024.
However, former Chennai batter Suresh Raina has hinted that we may see Dhoni playing in 2024 as well. Raina is currently playing for India Maharajas in the second edition of the Legends League cricket. The 36-year-old also added that Dhoni’s availability would depend on his form and fitness in the 2023 season.
“Agle saal ho sakta hai ki Dhoni fir Indian T20 League khelein. Unka form achcha lag raha hai, batting achcha kar rahe hain. It all depends ke kaisa khelta hai is season. Kaafi challenging hoga, ek saal se tournament nahi khelein hai wo,” Raina said during an interview after the match against the World Giants on Wednesday.
“I think Chennai team is quite strong, there are some young players coming in like Ruturaj (Gaikwad), (Devon) Conway and Ben Stokes is also joining the team. Dhoni has been training hard in Chennai, as you can see in some of his recent videos as well,” he further added.
