Apex Cricket Council releases digital poster for upcoming ODI World Cup 2023
The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off in the month of October. The first match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, where the two finalists from the last edition, England and New Zealand will lock horns against each other. The venues for the knockout games and semi-final have been announced. The final is set to be hosted by Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
Recently, the Apex Cricket Council released the official poster for the upcoming ODI World Cup. The poster has all the 10 captains featured in it. The reigning champions, England’s skipper, Jos Buttler is posing with the trophy. But just to let you know this is not the original photo.

India Vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match shifted
The fans are not happy after seeing the poster and they have started criticising it on social media. “Ok no words for a ‘World Cup’ poster,” one user commented. Another user wrote, “Loving the super bad art.” After some time after poster’s release, people started comparing this poster with that of the 2019 ODI World Cup. The nostalgia came in when the people remembered when they brought up Virat Kohli and other skippers.
“We went from getting the WC schedule 13 month in advance to getting last-minute changes in a schedule that got announced 2 months before. No theme song, no hype. The captains poster went from this to this. You can’t name a bigger downgrade,” commented the user while posting both pictures on Twitter.
India will kick start their campaign against Australia on October 8 at the MA. Chidambaram, in Chennai. The ODI World Cup 2023 fixture between India and Pakistan was set to take place on October 15, however, the Indian Cricket Board has changed it to 14th October due to the auspicious festival of Navratri.
