An old video convinces fans that Aakash Chopra is defending KL Rahul to impress Bollywood Superstar Sunil Shetty

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra is currently on the receiving end of harsh and brutal trolls on the micro-blogging site Twitter. The fans are calling out the former Delhi opener for defending the out-of-form senior Indian opener KL Rahul who is not performing up to the expectations for a long time.

Recently, the cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra also indulged in a social media spat with the former Indian speedster Venkatesh Prasad; just proving KL Rahul as an efficient batter.

Meanwhile, an old video of Aakash Chopra in a conversation with Suniel Shetty is now making rounds on social media. In the video, Chopra is speaking very highly of the veteran Bollywood actor and also called him a ‘father-like’ figure.

Subsequently, the fans are also lashing assuming that the 45-year-old is just defending KL Rahul to be in the good books of Suniel Shetty.

“I have nothing against KL or any other player, my voice has been against unfair selection and different yardsticks for performers. Be it Sarfaraz or Kuldeep, have voiced based on merit. But it was disappointing to see Aakash calling it personal agenda,” he added later.

Just after this tweet from Venkatesh Prasad, Aakash Chopra couldn’t hold himself and replied to the former’s tweet as soon as he could.
